Maxine

Maxine (Max) is a qualified Financial Adviser committed to the Thorner Team for almost 20 years. Further to achieving the NZ Certificate in Financial Services, has recently attained a NZ level 5 qualification specialising in General Insurance.

With a strong focus on customer service, Maxine’s industry experience contributes to the expertise and advice that she can provide. Insurance can be complex and frustrating at times, having a friendly Financial Advisor who can keep it simple and easier to understand is all part of the intermediary role that Maxine prides herself in.

Maxine is married to Wayne (he’s a Commercial Fisherman and a Master Chef in the kitchen!). Between them they have four adult children and two grandchildren. Maxine enjoys a balance of exercising and wining and dining!

Jeff is relatively new to Thorner General having joined in mid-2017. However, he has quickly taken on and embraced the reins of the role and as Maxine so succinctly and eloquently put it fitted in “just like a comfortable pair of old slippers”.

Outside of work, Jeff, and his wife Judith of 30+ years, have three children and two grandchildren to keep them busy. He also enjoys reading, walking, and following most sports and is particularly passionate about cricket and the Black Caps along with our local football team the Phoenix.

Camilla

Camilla joined the Thorner General Team in 2014.  While she has extensive knowledge of general insurance, she is not a Financial Adviser.  She does however undertake the important function of processing and administration activities for the team.

Camilla works on a part time basis which enables her to put a significant amount of time and effort into her passion of her lifestyle property in the Wairarapa.

When not working in her home office Camilla can be found on the farm in her gumboots chasing after the many animals she adores.
